This page demonstrates some very quick and easy manipulations that can be done with the Effects Room's Shuffler to create new grooves from most drum and rhythm loops. Listen to the examples before proceeding to the tips/lesson as they will orient you as to what to expect.
Anyone who works with rhythm loops will find these techniques very useful for breaking up the monotony of their loops and for discovering new grooves.
SOURCE NOTE
This page has several sets of examples of this technique applied to several different source grooves. Each section starts with the source groove and is followed by variations created by the Shuffler. Most examples were created in just a minute or three by applying the principles that will be demonstrated in the lesson.
Be patient as the examples load. Some machines may stutter during playback if sounds are still loading.

Tabla01: Sequence. This 40 second track is from a longer (2 1/2 minutes) sequence entirely made up of variations created by the shuffler. All variations were created in less than 15 minutes total! Notice how variation of the release time add a sense of "touch".
