Microharmonics is the name that I have given to the rich sonic world that can be discovered in fleeting moments of recorded sound by expanding their time-scale. A single staccato piano note or a metal spring's resonant "boing" may contain a symphonic richness that passes so quickly that we miss it. This technique can uncover unique aural textures and sonoroties and unusual sonic palettes. Many of my microharmonic explorations stretch time by a factor of 20 or more.
